Your brain automatically concludes that tech founders usually become incredibly rich.
Why is this cognitive illusion so incredibly difficult to break? The answer lies deep inside your prefrontal cortex.
The human brain is an incredibly expensive organ. It consumes roughly twenty percent of your daily caloric intake. To conserve energy, your brain actively searches for cognitive shortcuts. When you face a massive, complex goal like achieving financial freedom, your brain panics. The sheer volume of variables is overwhelming.
Your brain desperately wants certainty. It wants a simple map.
When a billionaire steps up to a microphone and says their success is entirely due to a specific journaling technique, your brain releases a tiny hit of dopamine. The complex, terrifying mystery of success has suddenly been solved. The cognitive burden is lifted. You do not have to account for luck, macroeconomic trends, or systemic advantages. You just have to buy a leather journal.
